Saints end 2008 season as National Champion Runner-Up
Saints finish 2008 season at 25-27 and as national runner-up. Once again the Saints make it to the NCCAA National Championship Game. And once again they meet Southeastern University there. In a fitting end to the 2008 baseball season the Saints and the Fire take it down to the 7th inning, with Southeastern comming out on top 4-3. However; not to bad for a team that played 26 new freshman throughout the season and started 8 freshman in the Championship Game. The Saints were back-to-back Southwest Region Champions and were ranked number 2 in the nation all season behind Southeastern.
