Casey Jones, a 2008 Hillsdale graduate (B.A. with an Emphasis in Missions) has been recently approved for a short term appointment (2 years) with Free Will Baptist International Missions. He will be serving in a creative access country. We are proud to have another Hillsdale graduate serving Christ and Free Will Baptists.
Mr. Jones states, “My time at Hillsdale has helped me discern God’s will for my life.” While I was at Hillsdale I was presented with opportunities to travel on short term mission trips over the summer and winter breaks. I traveled twice with RUTH Ministries to Romania, I had the opportunity to take my 7 week internship in Kazakhstan and I will be going to the Ukraine this summer with a group from Hillsdale. It was through these trips that I could see God calling me to International Missions. While at Hillsdale I received guidance from professors and friends that helped me find direction in my ministry. Also, a great help was the mission courses I took at Hillsdale. In doing this, I received practical ideas from professors that had been on the field. In a way, it was preparing me for the years ahead. It has been great taking this time before I go, to study the Bible and to know what I truly believe. Now I am trying to live my life in the shadow of the Great Commission. We are the light in the darkness.”
